Here I am tasting a lager beer that I purchased a case of earlier today at a Thrifty Beverage in Sheepshead Bay. I am dedicating it to Audrey's Aunt Rosie who died yesterday only 75 years old. Let me begin:
Northern (Reserve) Golden Lager: Color-Golden yellow Nose-Not able to discern any scent First taste-Strong; then fast fade Observations-Drinkable if you don't expect much Fizziness-Rim head(then it goes away too); few active bubbles Where Brewed? Cold Spring, Minnesota Cost-21 cents per 12oz. can($4.99 a case) Aftertaste-Not pleasant Rating-4
Final Thought-Not high on my list of beers; yet it still is worth what I paid for it. Plan on trying a tasting soon against a 50 center beer (a pilsner from Utica, NY) Audrey can also use the Northern Lager as a base which she can add juices to forming a malt beverage.
