Bryce will be observing this tasting of 2 stouts done in my novice series. Jordan will be my guest(novice) taster; he did this on one other occasion. Here goes:
Guinness Stout Draft (Dublin, Ireland): Classic Guinness head; bitter; soy sauce nose; bitter aftertaste; not carbonated in same way as other beers; Salty Jordan-6 Mike-7.5 Avg.-6.75
Saranac Oatmeal Stout (Utica, NY): Bitter; bile like taste; more coarse; not as frothy; soy sauce nose; strong w/ rubbing alcohol feel Jordan-3.5 Mike-6.75 Avg.-5.125
Final Thought-Beer Novice Jordan showed a proclivity for beer tasting; I hope he continues to take part in my events!!!
